Saskatchewan Roughriders quarterback Darian Durant is expected to miss the remainder of the season with a torn tendon in his right elbow.

Durant was injured in the third quarter of Sunday's game against the Winnipeg Blue Bombers and will require surgery to repair the injury.

The 32-year-old quarterback has been added to the Roughriders six-game injury list.

"I assure u I will be 100% ready for the 2015 season. I will be right by Tino's side as we continue our journey to the 2014 Grey Cup. I have faith he'll get the job done. Once again thanks for all the love and support...Go Riders!!!," Durant tweeted from his verified account.

Roughriders backup quarterback Tino Sunseri finished the victory over the Blue Bombers and completed two of five passes for 30 yards. He has thrown one career CFL touchdown.
