The butch Canadian singer is said to be having a torrid romance with Heather Edwards, the wife of oil/gas billionaire N. Murray Edwards, a co-owner of the Calgary Flames hockey team.

The online magazine Frank reports, “They’re often seen together, dining out at Calgary’s swell eateries.”

Lang has had a string of lady-loving companions over the years, including Julie Cypher, Leisha Hailey (a star of Showtime’s “The L Word”) and Jamie Price, lang’s girlfriend for eight years until their breakup in 2011.

Heather met N. Murray in 2002, when she was director of communications for then-Natural Resources Minister Herb Dhaliwal. She was one of the editors of the 2005 book “Alberta: A State of Mind.”

Besides their enthusiasm for sushi, k.d. and Heather share a passion for Buddhism.

“Lang is actively involved with the American Foundation for Tibetan Cultural Preservation, a kids’ camp called Tools for Peace and she supports various other causes, environmental and otherwise,” Frank reports.

In a statement through their lawyers, Murray and Heather Edwards told me, “We separated amicably a year ago. We remain close friends and loving parents.”
