{allcanada} Canadian ice dancers second at junior GP event

AICHI, Japan — Madeline Edwards of Port Moody, B.C., and Zhao Kai of Pang of Burnaby, B.C., were second in the short program Saturday at an ISU Junior Grand Prix figure skating event.

Americans Rachel Parsons and Michael Parson were first with 55.71 points, just ahead of Edwards and Pang with 55.33. Russians Alla Loboda and Pavel Drodz were third with 52.25.

Edwards and Pang were third at the world junior championships last year. They opened the season with a second-place finish in a Grand Prix event last month in France.
