Jon Singleton had three RBIs, including a two-run inside-the-park home run in the eighth, as the Houston Astros beat the Toronto Blue Jays 8-2 from Minute Maid Park.

Brett Oberholtzer (4-7) went seven innings, giving up two earned runs, to earn the win. R.A. Dickey (9-11) recorded the loss, giving up four earned runs in seven innings plus one batter.

The Astros benefitted from a play of spectacular defensive plays.

Down 4-2 in the seventh, Jays pinch-hitter Colby Rasmus walked. Juan Francisco, also pinch-hitting, then took an Oberholtzer offering deep into right field, but Robbie Grossman jumped and reached over the fence to deny Francisco a game-tying home run.

Then, in the ninth, left fielder L.J. Hoes went headlong into the stands to grab a Munenori Kawasaki pop-up for the inning's first out.

Nolan Reimold and Jose Bautista recorded RBIs for the Jays.

The final game in the set goes on Sunday when Marcus Stroman (7-2) meets Scott Feldman (4-8).
