BOWMANVILLE, Ont. – Andrew Ranger’s afternoon at the race track is shaping up quite nicely.

The NASCAR Canadian Tire Series presented by Mobil 1 veteran paced Saturday’s final practice session at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park with a fast lap of 83.338 seconds (106.223 mph). That effort came just an hour after he led NASCAR Camping World Truck Series final practice in what is his debut in that series.

A winner in the Canadian Tire Series season-opener at CTMP in May, J.R. Fitzpatrick finished second-fastest in final practice at 83.851 (105.573). He led Saturday’s first session at 84.244 (105.080).

Ranger and Fitzpatrick were followed on the speed chart by defending race winner L.P. Dumoulin, D.J. Kennington and Jeff Lapcevich in the final session. The top five in first practice included Fitzpatrick, Dumoulin, Luc Lesage, Kerry Micks and Kennington.

Pole qualifying for Sunday’s Pinty’s presents the Clarington 200 is scheduled for later today at 4:40 p.m.
