The Winnipeg Jets agreed to terms with forward Matt Halischuk on a one-year, two-way contract worth $725,000, the team announced Wednesday.

Halischuk, 26, played 46 games with the Jets last season and had five goals, five assists and six penalty minutes. The Toronto native has played 203 games for the New Jersey Devils, Nashville Predators and Winnipeg. He has 64 points (30 goals, 34 assists) and 47 penalty minutes.

Halischuk has also played 118 games in the American Hockey League with the Lowell Devils and Milwaukee Admirals. He has 77 points (38 goals, 39 assists) and 24 penalty minutes.

He was originally selected by New Jersey in the fourth round (No. 117) of the 2007 NHL Draft.
