The Hamilton Tiger-Cats have locked up a key piece of their improving defence.
According to KMG Sports, the agency that represents Rico Murray, the linebacker has agreed to a two-year contract extension. The news was first reported by the Hamilton Spectator.
In his first year with the Ticats, Murray had 53 tackles, two sacks and two interceptions.
The Kent State product proved his versatility for the Ticats last season, lining up at defensive back as well as linebacker.
