The Montreal Canadiens announced Thursday that forward George Parros travelled to the University of Michigan in the morning for consultation on his concussion.
Parros sustained his second fighting-related concussion of the season on Dec. 14 after being stunned by a pair of late punches in a fight with Eric Boulton in Montreal's 1-0 overtime road win over the New York Islanders. Parros was wobbly getting to his feet, but skated off the ice on his own power.
Parros missed the first month of the season after being injured in a fight with Toronto's Colton Orr in the season opener.
He was knocked unconscious after the tussle - their second fight of an unruly game - brought him tumbling to the ice. He fell hard on his chin while attempting to punch Orr, who was tugging at Parros' jersey.
Parros spent several minutes motionless on the ice before being taken off on a stretcher and moved to a hospital.
