KONIGSSEE, Germany - Canada's Alex Gough won bronze at a luge World Cup on Saturday while Natalie Geisenberger won her sixth race in as many tries this season.
Geisenberger rallied in the second heat to beat fellow German Tatjana Huefner by 0.105 seconds, winning with a two-run time of 1:40.591. Huefner led by 0.108 seconds after one run.
Gough, from Calgary, was third, 0.331 seconds back.
With the win, Geisenberger is on the cusp of wrapping up the points title with three races remaining. She has 600 points, 199 better than Gough with three races left.
Another win would wrap up the season title for Geisenberger, a huge favourite for Olympic gold.
