{allcanada} Report: Raptors 'possible landing spot' for Nash

Los Angeles Lakers point guard Steve Nash could be traded this season and the Toronto Raptors are a 'possible landing spot,' according to Alex Kennedy of Hoopsworld.com.

In the second year of a three-year, $27-million contract with the Lakers and dealing with multiple injuries, Nash could be traded by Los Angeles in an effort to dump salary as the team prepares to sign free agents in the off-season.

The Raptors were one of the teams that reportedly expressed interest in the 39-year-old last summer before Nash was shipped to the Lakers. Reports surfaced earlier this week that Toronto general manager Masai Ujiri has been "vigorously" working the phone exploring trade options.

Nash missed 32 games last season and has been absent from one of the Lakers' three games this season due to neck and ankle injuries.

In 52 contests for the Lakers, the two-time MVP has averaged 12.4 points, 6.6 assists and 2.8 rebounds a game.
