Edmonton Oilers forward Sam Gagner has been medically cleared to play and is expected to make his season debut Tuesday night when the Toronto Maple Leafs visit Rexall Place, according to a report by TSN's Bob McKenzie.
Gagner suffered a broken jaw during the preseason on a hit by the Vancouver Canucks' Zack Kassian that drew an eight-game suspension.
Gagner, 24, is coming off his best season in terms of points-per-game production, as he scored 14 goals with 24 assists while playing all 48 games for the Oilers during the abbreviated 2012-13 season.
