Music insiders wondered if Scooter Braun would be joining Team Drake after spotting Justin Bieber's manager backstage at the rapper's Barclays Center concert Monday.
Braun was seen chatting with Drake's managers at the sold-out Brooklyn venue, but sources say the music mogul has been friends with both Drake and his management for years.
"They have a tremendous amount of respect for each other," one said.
Also at the concert were Madonna, LA Reid, Busta Rhymes, Jamie Foxx, A$AP Rocky, Chanel Iman and Kevin Garnett.
While Drake's former nemesis Chris Brown was arrested over the weekend, Drake and his posse took over Midtown club Tokya, which doesn't officially open till Saturday, to celebrate his 27th birthday.
Victor Cruz was seen dancing on a table amid a crowd of 200, and, "Bottle girls dressed as ninjas brought 27 bottles of Champagne to Drake's table," a witness said.
The "Take Care" rapper arrived at his own party at 2:45 a.m., and his crew picked out some of the room's sexiest ladies to join them at their table. They ran up a $40,000 tab and left a $5,000 tip.
Tokya's Roee Nahmani and Danny Omari surprised Drake with a giant cake in the shape of his "Hold on We're Going Home" record with 27 candles. Meanwhile, no word on what Brown ate and drank in jail the previous night.
