It's Mike Reilly's show now.
After Matt Nichols went down with a season-ending knee injury in last week's pre-season loss to the Saskatchewan Roughriders, Reilly is the unquestioned starter for the Edmonton Eskimos.
The 28-year-old will make his first start for the Eskimos tonight when they visit the BC Lions, his old team, in each team's final pre-season tune-up.
Watch the game live on TSN at 10pm et/7pm pt.
Eskimos fans should also get a good look at other presumptive starters; what their team could look like in the first year of the Ed Hervey era.
"You play more of your starters," head coach Kavis Reed said in a team statement. "This is more of a game type scenario. Decisions made the first game, you won't make this game because you want to get player reps."
The Lions should also be playing many of their starters, including QB Travis Lulay. BC is coming off a win over the Calgary Stampeders in their first pre-season game.
