The Winnipeg Jets and coach Claude Noel have agreed on a one-year contract extension, the team announced Monday.
According to a report by the Winnipeg Free Press, general manager Kevin Cheveldayoff will also offer contract extensions to Noel's assistants.
Noel will be entering his third season as Jets coach, having compiled a 61-56-13 mark with the team and a 71-64-19 overall record including a stint as interim coach of the Columbus Blue Jackets during the 2009-10 season.
