LONDON - Jesse Levine became the third Canadian to reach the second round at Wimbledon with a win over Guido Pella on Tuesday.
Levine, from Ottawa, earned a 6-4, 6-2, 4-6, 3-6, 4-3 decision over Pella when the Argentine had to be taken off court on a gurney with an apparent hamstring injury.
Vancouver's Vasek Pospisil and Montreal's Eugenie Bouchard both won their opening-round singles matches on Monday.
Milos Raonic of Thornhill, Ont., the men's 17th seed, takes on Carlos Berlocq of Argentina in his first-round match later Tuesday.

Levine started strong, winning the first two sets against a player who had lost his two previous matches on grass.
But Pella rallied to take the next two sets before appearing to slip on the grass in the fifth and receiving medical treatment while lying on the baseline.
He shook Levine's hand before being taken away on a stretcher.
Levine hammered 19 aces and converted five-of-eight service breaks while registering 63 winners and just over 50 unforced errors.
The Canadian rallied from a break in the fifth set to make it 3-3 two games before Pella's injury.
The match lasted nearly three hours as the 112th-ranked Levine advanced to the second round for the second straight year.
