NEW YORK -- Ottawa Senators defenseman Eric Gryba has been suspended for two games for an illegal check to the head of Montreal Canadiens forward Lars Eller during Game One of the teams' Eastern Conference Quarterfinal series in Montreal on Thursday, May 2, the National Hockey League's Department of Player Safety announced today.
The incident occurred at 13:28 of the second period. Gryba was assessed a major penalty for interference and a game misconduct.
