{allcanada} Justin Bieber Returns to Twitter After "Taking Some Time" to Himself

Justin Bieber's back!

Yes, the 19-year-old pop star made a triumphant return to Twitter today after nearly a lifetime an entire week away from the site.

"Hi," he wrote simply, then explained his social media hiatus, tweeting, "U guys miss me on here. Just needed to take some time to myself"

Within moments, it was back to biz for the Biebs. He wished The Wanted's Nathan Sykes well as he recovers from throat surgery, wished Cody Simpson good luck on his upcoming tour and promoted BFF Jaden Smith's new movie After Earth. He also supported Usher's team on The Voice, writing, "I got u," retweeted his dad's picture of little sister Jazymn and retweeted a quote from the Love Like Jesus account.

He even interacted personally with several delighted Beliebers, explaining to one, "I missed everybody just needed to step away for a week. It was all a little much lately." Then, he offered some sage advice to his 39 million followers, tweeting, " Write down the things in your life that make u happy. Think about all your blessings. Be in a good place. Stay smiling"

Plus, he's back at it on Instagram. He shared several pictures of an adorable kitten last week (Tyler the Creator is Instagramming this cat, supposedly named "Tuts," as well, but its unclear yet who she belongs to). Then yesterday, J.B. and Tyler spent some quality time with each other.

And earlier today, Justin showed off some heavy-looking free weights. Swag and six-pack abs only come to those who work!
