Former CFL all-star safety Ian Logan is retiring from professional football.

Logan spent his entire CFL career playing for the Winnipeg Blue Bombers, the club that signed him as an undrafted free agent in 2005.

The 30-year-old was part of the self-titled "Swaggerville" defence that led the Bombers to their first division win during the 2011 season. Logan was named to the East Division all-star team that season.

Prior to joining the Bombers, the native of Waterloo, ON, played for Wilfrid Laurier in the CIS and helped the school win the Vanier Cup in 2005.

Logan was released by the Blue Bombers on March 26.
