{allcanada} Raonic headlines Davis Cup team vs. Italy

Milos Raonic headlines Team Canada's roster for their upcoming quarter-final Davis Cup tie against Italy.

Frank Dancevic, Daniel Nestor, Vasek Pospisil, and Raonic have been selected by captain Martin Laurendeau, Tennis Canada announced in a press release Tuesday.

Raonic, who is ranked No. 16 in the world, has won his past five Davis Cup singles matches. He won both of his matches against South Africa and Spain earlier this year.

Jesse Levine, Filip Peliwo and Adil Shamasdin will also be travelling to Vancouver in case Canada needs any extra players for the Davis Cup match-up.

The Canadian roster is currently taking part in training camp in Montreal before they head out to Vancouver next week to prepare for Italy.

"Any team that reaches the final eight in Davis Cup competition is going to be a very tough group of players and this is definitely true of Italy," Laurendeau said in a statement.

"We have the same group of guys already in Montreal working hard to get ready to play this team and we will continue the preparation in Vancouver next week leading up to the tie. We are still on a high from making history in February and we want to ride that momentum, take advantage of this opportunity and keep this going into the semi-finals."
