Toronto Maple Leafs defenceman John-Michael Liles left Saturday's game against the Boston Bruins late in the second period following an awkward collision with winger Daniel Paille.
Liles skated off the ice and headed to the Maple Leafs' dressing room favouring his left leg.
The 32-year-old was limping considerably and required assistance from the team trainer as he went for medical attention. He did not return for the third period.
Liles rejoined the Maple Leafs on March 14 after sitting out 12 games as a healthy scratch. Since his return, he has recorded no points and is a minus- 2 through four games.
