Kim Cattrall is returning to series TV for the first time since "Sex and the City" ended in 2004. Cattrall will star in and executive produce an adaptation of the 2005 British comedy series "Sensitive Skin," about a woman's mid-life crisis.
The six-episode series will premiere on Canada's The Movie Network and will also be executive produced by the "Slings & Arrow" team of writer Bob Martin and director Don McKellar, according to Deadline.
Cattrall won a Golden Globe and was nominated for five Emmys for her role as Samantha Jones in HBO's "Sex and the City," and reprised the role in two feature films. Lately she's been concentrating on stage work, but also appeared in the British miniseries "Any Human Heart" and lent her voice to the Canadian animated series "Producing Parker."
The original British version of "Sensitive Skin" starred Joanna Lumley, whose role as Patsy on "Absolutely Fabulous" was something of a precursor to Samantha.
