{allcanada} Kicker Boreham is back with Roughriders

REGINA -- Kicker Jamie Boreham is back with the Saskatchewan Roughriders for the third time.

The nine-year CFL veteran was signed to the team's practice roster Thursday along with import receiver Limas Sweed. The Riders also released import defensive lineman Robert Rose.

Boreham was first acquired by the Riders in March 2007 in a trade with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats. The Vancouver native spent three seasons with the club and helped Saskatchewan win a Grey Cup in 2007.

The University of Manitoba product returned after signing a free-agent contract in September 2011 but did not see any game action.

Boreham, who was drafted by the B.C. Lions in 2001, has also played for the Toronto Argonauts and Winnipeg Blue Bombers.

Sweed spent three seasons with the Pittsburgh Steelers after being drafted in the second round of the 2008 NFL draft. The Navasota, Tex., native had seven catches for 69 yards over 20 regular-season games for Pittsburgh.

He won a Super Bowl with the Steelers in 2009.
