You do need to separate out the different mastering choices before you can
say it's due to higher resolution, though.
-- What do you mean by different mastering choices, you're not saying that
CD and vinyl will be inherently inferior are you?

Perhaps less typical in modern times. Bit-perfect unresampled transmission
of standard formats isn't that hard to achieve nowadays.
--Eh? Example please.

The 'new' version you made has no more information than the SACD, though.
It can't. So that extra richness is something else.
--Actually Steven I was comparing the DTSHD MKA to the DTS CD.

May I suggest not insulting anyone from such a weak evidentiary position?
--What is YOUR evidence Steven?
--You insult ME by saying I have a "weak evidentiary position". Are you
basically saying my opinion is of no consequence because I don't like CDs as
much as you do? Just sounds like ill-informed smugness to me.
--MY evidence I that my two ears CAN hear a difference, and if you really
can't you should perhaps consider that your hearing is less than perfect,
much like your manners.
