Neil Young and Crazy Horse are spreading their Americana across Canada.
The legendary rock outfit will take to the road this fall for the first time in eight years — and their trek includes a slew of dates in Young's home and native land.
Young, bassist Billy Talbot, drummer Ralph Molina and guitarist Poncho Sampedro will kick off their first North American tour since 2004 with three Ontario shows in October before heading south to the U.S.
They'll return to Canada in November for a string of gigs, beginning in Vancouver Nov. 11 and ending in Ottawa Nov. 24. See below for a full list of Canadian shows and locations.
Tickets for many of the performances go on sale Friday June 15 at Ticketmaster, and will cost between $60 and $205, depending on the city, seating and venue. Floor access to the concerts will be general admission, with reserved seating on the sides. $1 from every ticket will go to Young's Bridge School charity. East L.A. rockers Los Lobos will open all the shows except for the final pair of eastern dates, when they will be replaced by New York punk poetess Patti Smith.
Young and Crazy Horse's Americana album comes out Tuesday June 5 and finds the group reworking classic folk compositions such as Oh Susannah, Clementine and This Land is Your Land in their trademark garage-rock style.
