Select-A-Ticket

Vladimir Guerrero is ready for the next level.

The Toronto Blue Jays announced on Friday that they are moving Guerrero up from single-A Dunedin to triple-A Las Vegas.

Guerrero will join the 51s in time for Saturday's game against Reno.

Toronto signed the former All-Star outfielder to a minor league deal on May 10. After working himself into game shape at extended spring training, Guerrero has been on a tear in A-ball, hitting .450 with four home runs and eight RBI's over the past two weeks.

The 37-year-old Guerrero was originally signed as an undrafted free agent by the Montreal Expos in 1993. He's was the American League's MVP with the Anaheim Angels in 2004.

In a 16-year major league career, Guerrero has a .318 batting average with 449 home runs and 1,496 runs batted in. He is tied for 35th on the all-time home run list with Jeff Bagwell.

Guerrero last appeared in the major leagues with the Baltimore Orioles in 2011. He had 13 homers and 63 RBI in 145 games.
