Re: [SurroundSound] Re: Yessongs on Blu-Ray

Not having previous versions to compare, I could believe they may have cleaned it up some. There are no obvious scratches or dirt that I can recall. The source must be so poor that there is not much that can be done to improve a dimly lit, blurry, somewhat out-of-focus picture.

I probably wouldn't be so irritated if they weren't selling this as some it isn't, which is bootleg quality at best.  Since I don't own any other versions, I guess I'll just have to consider it for its historical value, but I doubt that I will listen to it again. Maybe the documentary will be interesting. There is an extra that has a version of Beginnings with Howe on guitar playing with Patrick Moraz on the harpsicord that has better sound quality and was somewhat intriguing.

Oh, and it does come with 4 nice new Roger Dean artwork cards, so it's not a total loss. :-)

The film itself always looked poorly lit. Have they at least cleaned up
scratches, dirt etc?  Has anyone compared new to old side by side?  I
would expect to see *some* improvement unless this is a total ripoff.
