SASKATOON -- The Saskatchewan Roughriders are going to select offensive lineman Ben Heenan with the first overall pick of the CFL draft.
Team president Jim Hopson made the announcement this morning during a breakfast at the University of Saskatchewan.
The draft is scheduled to begin at 3 p.m. Eastern Time.
Heenan is a native of Grand Coulee, Sask., and is coming off an excellent season with the Saskatchewan Huskies.
The Edmonton Eskimos hold the No. 2 pick.
The Hamilton Tiger-Cats will select third overall.
