are you sure there are MLP files on there?  It sounds to me like you have a typical dolby/dts dvd disc.  It should be authored as a regular dvd i think as there wasn't anything in that standard for DVD Audio proper.  Probably either the audio ts files are dolby and dts or are possibly empty like some discs ive encountered.  Unless you see some indication that you should be getting more than DD/DTS perhaps thats all you get.  I had a Flaming Lips CD/DVD I bought as it seemed to indicate it was a high res DVD A.  It was not!  It was just a dolby/dts disc.  They had a proper DVD-A of the same album but it was not the one I bought that seemed to be the real thing.  You can start to see why these formats never gained traction with the attention given them by the studios.
