{allcanada} UFC eyes March return to Montreal

Sources have informed Sportsnet's Showdown Joe Ferraro that the UFC's first Canadian event in 2012 could take place in Montreal on Saturday, March 24.

The venue of choice would be the Bell Centre, which has hosted four UFC events (UFC 83, UFC 98, UFC 113, UFC 124) in the past three years. 2011 was the first year the UFC did not host an event in Montreal since 2007.

The Bell Centre's primary tenant, the Montreal Canadiens are scheduled to be playing on the road on March 24, which would make the venue free to hold a UFC event.

The offices for UFC Canada were unable to confirm this rumour, but echoed the familiar position, that 2012 will be an exciting year for Canadian UFC fans, across the country, with several events being planned in cities from coast to coast.
