James Reimer received good news Friday morning.
The Toronto Maple Leafs goaltender has been cleared to play by team doctors and is expected to back up Jonas Gustavsson on Saturday night against the Boston Bruins, according to head coach Ron Wilson.
Reimer has missed 19 games with concussion-like symptoms, after starting the season with four wins.
He hasn't dressed since Oct. 22 when he was injured during a collision with Montreal Canadiens forward Brian Gionta.
Gustavasson, the team's current starter, and rookie Ben Scrivens have kept the Leafs afloat in the Eastern Conference playoff race.
Toronto currently sits in fifth place in the conference and are only one point behind the Bruins at the top of the Northeast Division.
In other news, Mike Brown had disc surgery on his back Thursday and could miss up to six weeks.
The Leafs have won three of their past four games and are set to finish off their home-and-home series with Boston on Saturday night.
