It appears old rivalries never die in the CFL.

According to the National Post, Canadian Football Hall of Famers Angelo Mosca and Joe Kapp got into an altercation at a CFL Alumni Association event in Vancouver on Friday.

The report indicates there was a replay shown of a controversial play from the 1963 Grey Cup between Mosca's Hamilton Tiger-Cats and Kapp's B.C. Lions. The focus of the play was Mosca's hit on Willie Fleming out of bounds, which knocked the Lions running back out of the game. The Tiger-Cats went on to win the game with Lions players and fans alike feeling Mosca's late hit was a big reason why.

After the replay was shown, Kapp approached Mosca with a rose as a sign he was ready to bury the hatchet. However, Mosca refused the offer and a scuffle ensued with the former Tiger-Cats lineman using his cane to ward off Kapp, who responded by throwing a punch.

After his playing career, Mosca became a professional wrestler but few in attendance feel this was staged by either participant.

Neither Kapp nor Msoca was available for comment.
