UNIONDALE, N.Y. (AP)—Ondrej Pavelec(notes) stopped all 34 shots he faced, and Evander Kane(notes) provided all the offense the Winnipeg Jets needed in a 3-0 victory over the New York Islanders on Thursday night.

Johnny Oduya(notes) and Alexander Burmistrov also scored for the Jets, who have won three of four. Winnipeg will continue its tour of the New York metropolitan area with a game at New Jersey on Saturday and one against the Rangers on Sunday.

Oduya gave the Jets an insurance goal with 3:56 left when he fired an in-close shot past goalie Rick DiPietro(notes). Burmistrov added an empty-netter with 2:16 remaining.

DiPietro made 23 saves for the Islanders, who have lost six straight (0-4-2). New York went 0 for 3 on the power play and didn't give up a man advantage to Winnipeg.

The Jets took a 1-0 lead 4:21 into the game when Kane poked in a rebound for his fifth goal this season. Kane had a chance to double the advantage at 9:13 when he was awarded a penalty shot, but his wrister sailed wide of DiPietro.

The second period was scoreless, despite the Islanders having a 19-6 edge in shots.

NOTES: The Jets have won three of four on the road. … Al Montoya(notes) served as DiPietro's backup.
