DENVER – Edmonton Oilers forward Taylor Hall suffered an injury to his left shoulder in the first period of Saturday night's game against the Colorado Avalanche at the Pepsi Center. He will not return.
Hall was hurt on an unpenalized hit by Avalanche defenseman Ryan Wilson in the corner, and his left arm was limp as he left the ice. Hall managed to return, but he left for good late in the period after taking a cross-check by defenseman Kyle Quincey, who was penalized on the play.
The first overall selection at the 2010 Entry Draft, the 20-year-old winger has 7 goals and 11 assists in 21 games.
