

KITCHENER, Ont. -- Tobias Rieder had a hat trick and Franky Palazzese made 44 saves Tuesday as the Kitchener Rangers thumped the Guelph Storm 6-1 in the Ontario Hockey League.
Radek Faksa, with a goal and an assist, Eric Ming and Max Iafrate also scored for Kitchener (15-7-1). Michael Catenacci picked up three assists.
Brock McGinn had the only goal for Guelph (10-8-4). Garret Sparks started in net for the Storm but allowed four goals on 27 shots.
Brandon Foote made eight saves on 10 shots in relief.
Kitchener finished the night 3-for-8 on the power play, while Guelph wound up 1-for-6.
