Toronto-bred hip-hop superstar Drake had an easy time taking care of the competition on the Canadian album charts this week.
His second effort, "Take Care," came in at No. 1 with big sales of 48,000, according to figures gathered by Neilsen SoundScan.
The new disc handily surpassed the numbers of his debut album, 2010's "Thank Me Later," which came in on top with first-week sales of 31,000.
He also snagged the top spot south of the border, selling a whopping 630,000 copies of "Take Care" in the U.S., according to Billboard.com.
Back here, Drake's big entry sent Michael Buble's "Christmas" down to No. 2, while Adele's "21" rebounded one position, switching spots with Justin Bieber's "Under the Mistletoe" at No. 4.
Quebec folksters Les Cowboys Fringants' "Que Du Vent" rises a remarkable 167 notches to land at No. 5, "Glee: The Music, The Christmas Album Volume 2" came in at No. 6, and "MuchDance 2012" held steady at No. 7.

Wrapping up the top 10 was Coldplay's "Mylo Xyloto" at No. 8, LMFAO's "Sorry for Party Rocking" at No. 9, and Hedley's "Storms," which plummeted eight to No. 10.
In the U.S., Michael Buble came in second, Adele in third, Andrea Bocelli's "Concerto: One Night in Central Park" in fourth, and the Biebs in fifth.
