OTTAWA -- Canadian track star Tyler Christopher is calling it a career.
The Edmonton native, whose career highlights include a World Indoor title in 2008 and a bronze medal at the 2005 World Outdoor Championships, made the announcement Friday.
Tyler retires as the Canadian record holder in the indoor and outdoor 400-metres, the indoor 300-metres and as a member of the 4x200-metre relay team.
He is a four-time Canadian Champion and an Olympian from the 2008 Game in Beijing.
Tyler will be honoured on Saturday June 25 in Calgary as part of the 2011 Canadian Track and Field Championships.
