HAMILTON, Ont. -- The Hamilton Tiger-Cats are heading into a new season without running back DeAndra' Cobb and linebacker Otis Floyd.
Both players were released by the CFL team on Tuesday.
Cobb was the league's fourth-best running back in 2010 with 1,173 yards and eight touchdowns. He also caught two touchdowns and had 334 receiving yards.
Floyd had 83 tackles -- fifth best in the CFL -- and four sacks last year. He appeared in 33 games with the Ticats after signing as a free agent in January 2009.
"On behalf of the Tiger-Cats, I would like to thank DeAndra' and Otis for their contributions to this team both on and off the field," coach Marcel Bellefeuille said in a statement. "They were true professionals during their time with our organization and we wish them all the best in their future endeavours."
