
The Saskatchewan Roughriders released import defensive tackle Marcus Adams on Tuesday.
"We want to thank Marcus for all the contributions he made as a Rider both on and off the field," stated Roughriders' general manager Brendan Taman. "We wish him all the best in his future endeavors."
Adams played the last eight seasons with the Riders after originally signing as a free agent in March, 2003. In 84 regular season games played, Adams had 129 defensive tackles, 12 quarterback sacks, five tackles for a loss and three fumble recoveries.
In 2010, the defensive tackle started in 16 regular season games and tallied 26 defensive tackles, two quarterback sacks and one fumble recovery.
