Guillaume Goulet scored twice and added an assist while David Honzik made 38 saves as the Victoriaville Tigres inched closer to sweeping their QMJHL quarter-final series against the Acadie-Bathurst Titan with a 5-1 victory on Monday.
The Tigres have a commanding 3-0 lead in the best-of-seven series and can finish off Acadie-Bathurst at home on Wednesday.
Goulet put Victoriaville on the board only 25 seconds into the game with his second of the playoffs and Troy Vance doubled the lead just over two minutes later, chasing Titan goalie Olivier Roy after only four shots on net.
Robert Steeves replaced Roy and finished with 31 saves on 33 shots.
Sebastien Trudeau made it a 2-1 game midway through the second, but Goulet restored the two-goal advantage a minute and half later.
Etienne St-Germain scored on a power play at 15:50 of the period and Guillaume Naud completed the scoring with a marker late in the third.
