HALIFAX -- Nicholas Champion made 28 saves Thursday as the Lewiston Maineiacs downed the Halifax Mooseheads 3-1 in the lone game in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League.
Etienne Brodeur, Stefan Fournier and Michael Chaput scored the goals for Lewiston (37-22-3), while Olivier Dame-Malka picked up two assists.
Francis Turbide scored for Halifax (19-40-3). Frederic Piche made 27 saves in taking the loss.
Lewiston finished the night 1-for-4 on the power play, while Halifax wound up 1-for-5.
