
Tanner Olstad had two goals and an assist to help the Regina Pats to a 5-4 win over the Prince Albert Raiders in the Western Hockey League Saturday night.
Regina captain Garrett Mitchell responded a few shifts later by driving hard to the net and literally knocking Raiders goalie Jamie Tucker from the game with what appeared to be a cut thumb.
After killing off Mitchell's penalty, the Pats proceeded to score four straight on Tucker's replacement, Eric Williams.
Each team scored once in the second to send it to the third a 5-3 game.
Jonathan Parker scored with 2:03 left in regulation time to bring the Raiders to within one of Regina.

At Regina, Jordan Weal also had a three-point night with a goal and two assists for the Pats (19-27-7). Shayne Neigum and Andrew Rieder added singles
Todd Fiddler, Justin Maylan and Andrew Herle scored for Prince Albert (21-29-5). Harrison Ruopp helped out with three assists.

Bruins 4 Blazers 3
At Chilliwack, B.C., Ryan Howse scored two goals, including his 35th of the season, and added an assist as the Bruins came from behind to topple Kamloops.
Roman Horak and Brandon Magee had Chilliwack's (22-26-4) other markers, while Kevin Sundher had three assists.
Dylan Willick, Thomas Frazee and Bernhard Keil each scored for the Blazers (23-30-3). Brendan Ranford's five-game point streak came to an end.

Silvertips 3 Oil Kings 1
At Everett, Wash., Kent Simpson stopped 35 shots, leading the Silvertips to victory over Edmonton.
Rasmus Rissanen, Cody Fowlie and Markus McCrea scored to stake Everett (23-23-8) to a 3-0 lead.
Simpson came 6.6 seconds away from recording his second shutout of the season when T.J. Foster spoiled it with a consolation power-play goal for the Oil Kings (24-26-4).

At Cranbrook, B.C., Cody Eakin had two goals as Kootenay defeated Vancouver.
James Martin and Matt Fraser had a goal and an assist each for the Ice (34-17-3), while Hayden Rintoul added a single.
Michael Burns and Andrej Stastny replied for the Giants (29-21-5).

At Medicine Hat, Alta., the Tigers dumped Moose Jaw to expand their lead in the WHL's Eastern Conference.
Emerson Etem, Curtis Valk, Wacey Hamilton and Cole Grbavac scored for Medici en Hat (34-16-2), which sits five points up on the Warriors for fourth place in the WHL's Eastern Conference.
Dylan Hood replied for Moose Jaw (31-20-3), to remain fifth overall.

At Portland, Ore., Ty Rattie scored twice, once on the power play, to lead the Winterhawks over Tri City.
Ryan Johansen, Tyler Wotherspoon, Craig Cunningham, all had a goal and two assists for Portland (36-15-3), while Joe Morrow and Sven Bartschi each had a goal and an assist. Tayler Jordan also scored.
Justin Feser and Jordan Messier scored for the Americans (33-14-3). Feser added an assist and Patrick Holland had a pair of helpers.

At Prince George, B.C., Ty Rimmer's 23 saves were perfect as the Cougars shut out Kelowna.
Taylor Stefishen, James Dobrowolski and Troy Bourke supplied the offence for Prince George (26-23-3).
Adam Brown stopped 11 of 14 shots for the Rockets (30-22-0) in 26:03 of work. He was replaced by Jordon Cooke made 27 saves in relief.

At Saskatoon, Steven Stanford made 23 saves as the Blades blanked Lethbridge.
Los Angeles Kings prospect Brayden Schenn had a goal and an assist for Saskatoon (41-10-2), while Darian Dziurzynski, Jake Trask, Stefan Elliott and Josh Nicholls chipped in as well.
Dylan Tait made 19 saves on 24 shots for the Hurricanes (17-26-11) before being pulled at the 8:03 mark of the second period. Brandon Anderson stopped all 21 shots he faced in relief.

Chiefs 5 Thunderbirds 1
At Kent, Wash., Spokane scored four power-play goals and pounded Seattle's net with 59 shots.
Mitch Holmberg scored twice on the power play for the Chiefs (32-14-6) and also had an assist. Tyler Johnson had his 39th goal of the season while Steven Kuhn and Anthony Bardaro also scored for Spokane, which ended a two-game losing streak.
Luke Lockhart had the only goal for the Thunderbirds (19-26-9), a short-handed score to open the scoring at 5:04 of the opening period.

Broncos 5 Wheat Kings 3
At Swift Current, Sask., Jordan Peddle scored the game-winning goal with 3:13 left in regulation to lift the Broncos over visiting Brandon.
Peddle then added an empty-net goal with 47 seconds left on the clock while collecting his seventh and eighth goals of the season.
Brad Hoban, Stepan Novotny also scored for Swift Current (24-32-1), while defenceman Tanner Muth with his first career WHL goal.
Mark Stone's 28th of the season tied the game at 3-3 for the Wehat Kings (20-28-8) with 4:04 left in regulation. Brandon also had goals from Matt MacKay and Brenden Walker.
