Ryan Johansen scored twice to lead the Portland Winterhawks to a 6-3 win over the Prince George Cougars in Western Hockey League action Tuesday night.
Troy Rutkowski, Craig Cunningham, Sven Bartschi and Brendan Leipsic had the other goals for Portland (41-16-3). Keith Hamilton and Mac Carruth combined to stop 32 shots.
Elsewhere in the WHL it was: Kootenay 4, Kelowna 2; and Everett 3, Tri-City 1.
At Prince George, B.C., Charles Inglis had two goals for the Cougars (28-30-3). Taylor Stefishen had the other while Ty Rimmer made 33 saves.
Portland finished the night 1-for-8 with the man advantage, while Prince George wound up scoreless in seven opportunities.
Ice 4, Rockets 2
At Cranbrook, B.C., James Martin's power-play goal in the third period proved to be the winner as Kootenay doubled up Kelowna.
Hayden Rintoul, Brayden McNabb and Matt Fraser had the other goals for Kootenay (39-18-3). Nathan Lieuwen turned aside 24 shots.
Geordie Wudrick and Kevin Smith replied for Kelowna (33-25-1). Jordan Cooke stopped 47 shots.

Silvertips 3, Americans 1
At Kennewick, Wash., Parker Stanfield's penalty shot helped cap Everett's win over Tri-City.
Manraj Hayer and Josh Winquist also scored for the Silvertips (26-25-9), who took over sixth place in the Western Conference. Kent Simpson finished with 31 saves.
Connor Rankin and Zach Yuen scored for Tri-City, which lost its third straight game on home ice for the first time since the 2006-07 season.
Cam Gorchynski finished with 20 saves in his first start for the Americans (36-18-4).
