It appears Chris Phillips isn't going anywhere.
The Ottawa Sun reported Sunday night that Phillips, who was set to become an unrestricted free agent this summer, has signed a new three-year deal to remain with the Ottawa Senators. According to the paper, the contract is worth $9 million.
Phillips, who turns 33 on March 9, has been with the club since it selected him with the No. 1 overall selection at the 1996 Entry Draft. He has a goal and four assists in 62 games for the Senators this season.
In 925 NHL games, the 6-foot-3, 220-pound blueliner has 60 goals, 173 assists and 655 penalty minutes.
