{allcanada} QMJHL: SAULNIER, HRIVIK HELP WILDCATS POWER PAST HUSKIES

Allain Saulnier and Marek Hrivik both scored two goals to power the Moncton Wildcats to an 8-4 win over the Rouyn-Noranda Huskies in QMJHL action Thursday night.

In the other other league game, the Chicoutimi Sagueneens defeated the Lewiston Maineiacs 3-0.

In Rouyn-Noranda, Que., Ryan Penny, Olivier Daoust, Simon Jodoin and Devon MacAusland had the other goals for Moncton (29-22-7). Brandon Thibeau stopped 36 shots.

Alexis Bernier, Mathieu Brisbois, Anthony Verret and Robbie DeFulviis replied for the Huskies (9-44-5). Jeffrey Noonan turned aside 38 shots.

Sagueneens 3, Maineiacs 0

At Chicoutimi, Que., Christopher Gibson stopped 36 shots to earn the shutout win over Lewiston. Jonathan Bonneau scored twice for the Sagueneens (25-23-11) while Charles Hudon had the other.

Andrey Makarov stopped 21 shots for the Maineiacs (36-21-2).
