The Senators have claimed Svatos off waivers reports TSN's Bob McKenzie.
With Alex Kovalev traded to Pittsburgh on Thursday, the Senators needed to land a winger as a replacement and Svatos fit the bill. He'll likely start on one of Ottawa's top two lines for Friday's game against Buffalo.
