VANCOUVER -- The B.C. Lions will host the first event at the newly renovated B.C. Place Stadium.
The CFL club will play a regular-season game there on Sept. 30.
Their opponent will be determined when the CFL releases its schedule in the coming weeks.
The stadium makeover features a retractable roof, new seats and a centre replay screen.
B.C. Place has been closed since April. The Lions played the entire 2010 season at Empire Field and will open the 2011 campaign there as well.
The Lions will host the 2011 Grey Cup at B.C. Place.
