One of the dragons has been slayed.
CBC has announced that W. Brett Wilson's involvement with the highly rated business-pitch series Dragons' Den will end when the current season is over.
A new dragon will be in place for the sixth season of Dragons' Den, which will air in the fall of 2011.
A release issued by CBC suggested it was a contract dispute.
"We'd like to thank Brett for his many contributions to Dragons' Den over the past three successful seasons and the positive influence he's had on Canadian entrepreneurs," said Julie Bristow, CBC's executive director of factual entertainment, in the release. "Unfortunately, we were unable to reach an agreement on the terms of his contract. We wish him the best for all of his future endeavours."
The four other Dragons - Arlene Dickinson, Robert Herjavec, Kevin O'Leary and Jim Treliving - all will be back for season six.
