{allcanada} DASOVIC, BRENNAN, DICHIO ALL HANDED NEW ROLES WITH TORONTO FC

TORONTO -- Toronto FC continued its makeover Wednesday, announcing new positions for former interim coach Nick Dasovic and assistant general manager Jim Brennan.

Dasovic, an assistant coach who took over the team in September when Predrag (Preki) Radosavljevic was fired, becomes the MLS team's North American scout based out of Vancouver.

Brennan and assistant coach Danny Dichio are moving to TFC's academy where Dichio will run the senior team and Brennan the junior side.

Both men are former Toronto players -- Brennan was TFC's first ever player and captain and Dichio scored the club's first MLS goal -- and have been working on their coaching badges.

"This is a great opportunity for Jimmy and Danny to grow as coaches and also play a significant role in developing the young talent at our club," head coach Aron Winter said in a release. "The academy has a vital role to play in this club so these positions are very important.

"We want all of the teams throughout the club to play the same way so that we can develop young players who know how to play the Toronto FC style."

Stuart Neely ran the junior academy side last season while Jason Bent oversaw the senior academy squad. Bent has been elevated to TFC assistant coach and Neely is now overseeing the academy.

Dasovic, 42, has been part of Toronto FC's team staff since 2008 when he joined the club as academy head coach and first team assistant coach. He spent five years with the national team program before joining Toronto FC.

Brennan, 33, served as assistant general manager last season following his retirement as a player in April.

Dichio, 36, announced his retirement in September 2009.
