TORONTO -- The Toronto Raptors acquired forward James Johnson from the Chicago Bulls on Tuesday for a 2011 first-round draft pick.
Toronto acquired the selection from the Miami Heat last July in the Chris Bosh sign-and-trade deal.
"James Johnson is a strong, athletic and versatile small forward that we have had our eye on dating back to the 2009 NBA draft," Raptors general manager Bryan Colangelo said in a release.
Johnson was expected to arrive in Toronto on Wednesday before the Raptors' game against the Bulls at the Air Canada Centre. He will be in uniform if all terms of the trade are completed prior to tipoff.
