
CESANA, Italy -- Lyndon Rush of Humboldt, Sask., drove the Canada 1 four-man bobsled to a bronze medal in a World Cup on Sunday.
The Russian team of Alexsandr Zubkov, Philipp Egorov, Dmitry Trunenkov and Nikolay Hrenkov finished first in one minute 49.15 seconds.
The Latvia 1 sled was second, while the Canadian squad of Rush, Justin Wilkinson of Calgary, Cody Sorensen of Ottawa, and Edmonton's Neville Wright took the bronze in 1:49.35.
Manuel Machata won the overall World Cup four-man title, beating Olympic champion Steven Holcomb of the U.S. despite finishing the last run of the season in 11th place.
The German ended the season with 1,597 points, while Holcomb had 1,522.
Zubkov of Russia was third, a day after he won the two-man title.
Rush was sixth with 1,352.
